Pop of Kool-Aid Cuff - Thrifted
V and I found this shirt at a secondhand for $5. It looked brand new and fit V really well. Unfortunately it fell a little flat design wise.
Enter the fabric stash…
I pulled the small collection of fabric quarters and found a fabric that coordinated well!

I didn't feel like the print would lend itself to a collar so my mind switched to a contrasting cuff instead!
Now, I had EVERY intention to take a before picture but was going to wait to sew the cuff until my day off. …and then our water heater decided to bust open and flood our kitchen so I got an unexpected “day off”. (Would like not to relive that experience again.) So the project jumped ahead without a photo.
Its been awhile since I've sewn a cuff and I needed to plot my thoughts with a few sketches. (Above)
The cuffs came out pretty easily once I got going and I LOVE the way this project came out!
I'm trying to move forward on a few more smaller projects to get back into the sewing routine!
