The yarn for this projects is acrylic was inherited from my Grandmother and the pattern is Sleeping Beauty but PleasantSeas. Seeing this pattern on YouTube, it looked like an ambitious project but in reality it was a fairly quick knit. (I did chose to make the scarf a little shorter than the video.)

The reason I wanted to knit the hood is because of the drama of the piece.

Can you imagine continuing it down to the ground and making it a hooded cape? Uhhhh…Gorg!

When I had finished the scarf and was halfway through the hood, I found a dropped stitch in the bind-off of the scarf!

So I put a string through it and continued to finish the hood. Don’t worry, once the project was complete, I went took the binding out and corrected the dropped stitch.

These pictures were taken a few weeks ago on a rare Spring Snow day! It lasted less than 24 hours but gave a great contrast for the hood. :)
