Fall is official here and that brings coats to the mind!

There’s only one thing I love about winter (I know…we aren’t there yet in the Northern Hemisphere but sadly it will be here before we know it.) and that is COATS.

I L.O.V.E. coats, jackets and capes!

One of the things that add to my love of coats are the interesting seam-lines and buttons! Higher-end/luxury brands play more with seam-lines then affordable brands but that doesn’t take away from the beauty of the shapes and seams that can be created.

If you want an interesting, “one-of-a-kind” and more affordable coat. Search thrift stores for vintage coats! I have multiple from various decades (one possibly from the 40s!) and continue to add to my collection.

…Which are all stored at my parents house (other than two) but I might bring more back the next time I go home.

Uh oh…this post just reminded me that the coat I wore all last winter still needs two buttons sewed back on… Better do that sooner rather than later! ;)
